The greyscales task

This page contains printable and computerised versions of the greyscales task. We have found the greyscales task to be a particularly sensitive and robust measure of free-viewing perceptual asymmetries in normal participants and patients with right parietal damage and neglect. We have designed the paper and computerised versions of the greyscales task to be flexible and user-friendly. The greyscales tasks can be downloaded for free and we hope that our colleagues find them useful.

Computerised version

This task has been written to run using the Windows operating system. Please note that the screen must be set to run on 256 colours (as opposed to 'true-color' or 'high-color') in order for the task to run.
