Jessica served as the President of the Psychology Students' Society (2006 - 2007), providing a voice for the psychology student population.
"I chose to do psychology through an Arts degree as I wanted to have a qualification with a focus on humanities. The flexibility to combine humanities and psychology at Melbourne University is therefore great!
Studying psychology has provided me with a better understanding of people, their behaviours and social motivations. These factors are essential in effective communication and have vast applications in life. Acquiring these skills through my studies has therefore been beneficial to me.
I hope to pursue a career in Organisational Psychology or Human Resources. There is however a lot of scope for career opportunities through a psychology major!"
