Dr Sunil Bhar

Sunil Bhar is a clinical psychologist who completed his Ph.D in 2004. His dissertation examined the role of identity and ambivalence in obsessive-compulsive disorder. While doing his Ph.D, he ran a private clinical practice and coordinated the Psychology Clinic of the University of Melbourne. In 2005, he began his postdoctoral fellowship with Aaron Beck, MD at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. Currently, as part of this fellowship he directs a psychotherapy trial examining the effectiveness of cognitive therapy for suicidal older men. He also is a research therapist for various programs within the department of psychiatry and an instructor for the University of Pennsylvania's department of psychology.
