Jeromy Anglim
BA (Hons), LLB
Contact details:
I am involved in teaching Quantitative Methods 2, Research Methods 3 and I/O psychology. I also provide thesis-related data analysis advice to fourth years and postgraduate psychology students. I am passionate about communicating the role of design and analysis in establishing a richer understanding of psychology. For detailed advice on using specific statistical tools and general advice on approaching data analysis for a thesis, see my website. I also have a strong interest in the role of higher education in developing fundamental non-quantitative skills, such as negotiation and critical thinking.
I have worked extensively in consulting roles, which focused particularly on providing statistical advice in the areas of test construction, climate surveys, market research and policy evaluation. My research interests are currently focused on skill acquisition, social network analysis, and personality faking. I have a particular interest in the role of technology in facilitating psychological research. I do a lot of work using the R software environment for statistical analyses and Inquisit for online psychology experimentation. I also enjoy collaborating with other researchers applying general skills in statistics and research methods to a range of psychological topics, which currently include obsessive compulsive disorder, unemployment, wellbeing, bibliometrics, goals, teams, and student satisfaction.
