We were incredibly privileged to have Associate Professor Jeanette Lawrence as the guest speaker. Associate Professor Lawrence is a developmental psychologist studying the development of people in interaction with their social environments across the life course. She talked about her career and her experiences as a student. It was truly inspirational.

The student representative speaker was Linda Macleod who is a Graduate Diploma graduate and the joint recipient of the Applied Psychology Exhibition Award. She talked about how the Graduate Diploma offered her an enriching learning experience due to the diversity of knowledge, skills and backgrounds.  And she acknowledged the contribution the staff made to the Graduate Diploma students, in particular made reference to the openness of the staff to students’ ideas and how they supported student’s collaborative learning through their own research and mentoring.
