Neuropsychological Students' Society

The NSS is an independent, student-run society operating out of the University of Melbourne.

We have three broad aims:
1) to provide members with a regular forum for professional and academic development,
2) to foster discussion of broader philosophical and practical issues within the field of neuropsychology, and
3) to promote socialising and networking amongst members across Melbourne.

Our activities generally target an audience of clinical neuropsychology postgraduates, but membership is open to all interested parties and is currently comprised of a wide variety of individuals from institutions across Melbourne including undergraduates, postgraduates, early-career clinicians, academic staff, and basic scientists. Please contact us if you would like to join the society. We recognize that students are often working on a tight budget, and are proud to offer free membership as well as free entry to the majority of the events we sponsor.

The program of activities organised by the NSS each year includes weekly lunchtime seminars held in the Department of Psychology at the University of Melbourne, evening professional development events held in larger venues at the University of Melbourne, and evening social events held in more central locations. The formats of our PD events range from practical skills workshops through to didactic lectures. We advertise upcoming events and distribute relevant reference material via a fortnightly newsletter and on our website (see link below). You can also peruse the website for detailed parking information, maps, photos from past events, copies of slides, helpful references, and a variety of other useful resources.

We hope to see you at upcoming NSS events! If you would like to join the society, become involved with the committee, or just want further information, please visit our website below or email us at nssunimelb@gmail.com.
