Neuropsychological Students’ Society

As the name might suggest, the Neuropsychological Students’ Society is run by and for Neuropsychology students.  It is affiliated with UMPA, though the committee donate their time to organise the weekly presentations and our kind speakers offer the presentations gratis.  On the basis of the support of the wider Neuropsychological and Neurological community our presentations continue to be of a high standard and provide an important adjunct to the formal training offered at the University.

Importantly, the ideas for the seminars typically come from students who ask their colleagues on placement, at conferences or through other avenues if they would be interested in presenting.  The series provides presenting professionals with the chance to communicate their work and interests to their future peers, rehearse future conference presentations and raise the profile of their affiliated institutions.  If you know of someone who whose work you are interested in please invite them to contribute!  We frequently have students tentatively suggest a topic, only to have it be one of the semester’s most engaging presentations (thank you Kim Roffel!).  This is a chance for you to have further professional training in topics you would not otherwise learn about.

This series is open to all students (of Psychology and other disciplines, from all Universities) as well as professionals working in the field of Health generally.
