The University of Melbourne Psychology Clinic - Specialised Assessments
Specialised assessments of IQ and personality
We are happy to offer a range of specialised psychological assessments for members of the general public. These assessments are performed by our provisionally registered psychologists under the supervision of fully registered practitioners. The tests that can be conducted are widely used and are valid and reliable. A report will be prepared based on the results of testing that is conducted.
Please note that we only provide testing for individuals aged 18 years and above.
Assessment of intelligence- Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS)
This assessment aims to identify an individual's intellectual strengths and weaknesses across a broad range of skill areas. A full scale IQ score is derived as well as measures of verbal and performance skills.
Cost of testing: $140.00
Assessment of memory- Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS)
This comprehensive assessment of memory function assesses an individual's ability to store and recall auditory and visual information. The test can be conducted alone or in combination with the WAIS (see above). Information derived from this test can assist in aiding an individual to develop strategies to assist in learning information better in the future.
Cost of testing: $70.00
Personality assessment- Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI)
A personality assessment can be a useful adjunct to interpersonal counselling and personal development because it assesses an individual's general well-being and social adjustment. The MMPI is one of the most widely used assessment tools for this purpose.
Cost of testing: $140.00
